Road Trip ... Fantabulous Cricut Challenge

Oh the amazing places we go and people we meet on our road trip journeys... I love to go... but then it's nice to get home to my own bed.

This weeks Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #25
Road Trip
Create a card or project incorporating a vacation or travel theme

My card celebrates "Places to go... and People to see"

I used Zoobaloo cartridge for the trees on page 72 of the handbook. Locker Talk was used for the fabulous car on page 37 of the handbook, I only used the car and shadow feature. I used a 3/4 " circle punch for the wheels then added a flower brad.

The road was made from a piece of black cardstock then I used a white gel pen for the lines. My printer was used for the saying "Places to go... People to see" tied on using ribbon and added a sunshine charm. I also use a tan ink all over my paper pieces.

National Smile Week -and a "SMILE" Challenge

This week happens to be "National Smile Week" and at Fantabulous Cricut we hope to give you "oodles of smiles" and encourage you to participate in the challenge.

Challenge #22
National “Smile” week:
Create a project and include the word “Smile”

I used my new cricut cartridge Lacy Labels, this is one of the "Walmart Lite" cartridges and of all the Lite cartridges this is my very favorite!! It gives me a ton of scallops, ovals and a variety of other shapes that I can use on any card, I know I'll use this cartridge often!

I decided to create an oval scallop shape card using the "Scallop 1" shape, I used design studio to weld the two scallops together. The letters for "smile" are from the Alphalicious cartridge I welded them together. The card size is approx. 5 1/4" x 4". "SMILE"
Come join us for the challenge and see all the wonderful "smile" cards that the DT has created -HERE.

Sizzling B-B-Que Card -Fantabulous Cricut Challenge

We're barbecuing over at Fantabulous Cricut ... well the projects are sizzling anyway and it's time for another Challenge Me Monday.

Challenge #21
Summer B-B-Que
Create a project and incorporating b-b-q summer food /cooking

I used three Cricut cartridges for my card,George and Basic Shapes for the lettering, and From my Kitchen for the grill on pg. 41 of the handbook, the spatula is on page44 and page 55 is the fork I used (I show how I made a two pronged fork below). Then Everyday Paper Dolls for the grass on page 77 (accessories 2).

I used the regular fork and cut off two of the prongs as shown below. For the handles, I cut each of the utensils out of brown cardstock, then cut off the utensil part.

I also added brown ink to the edges of the handles, the fork did not have a hole so I made one with a piercing tool then added red twine.

Come see the sizzling Fantabulous Cricut design team projects -HERE.
Enjoy the rest of your Summer!
