Watermelon Thanks

Hello everyone, and I'm so glad to share another project with you and this card is being featured over at My Craft Spot.  I just love watermelon in the summer so I made a yummy simple watermelon card just to make your mouth water :)
I've cut the watermelon and the frame using the Stretch Your Imagination cricut cartridge. The watermelon was cut at 4 1/4" the frame was cut at 5" using the Real Dial size. Then added black stitching using my sewing machine.
I've used three different colors of bakers twine, Buttercream, Blossom and Honeydew. I used two stamps from Kimberly's new "Thank You" stamp set, the set includes so many wonderful sentiments and fonts. Both the bakers twine and stamp set can be found -HERE At My Craft Spot.

Thanks for stopping by today, have a great day!

Fabulous Water Girl -My Craft Spot Challenge Project

I hope you've had a wonderful time this summer either visiting with family, taking a vacation or just soaking up some sun... I've enjoyed doing all three with my family, and hope you have too.

This weeks Challenge at My Craft Spot is...
Splishy Splashy Summer
Include water -paper of course

My project today is a shape card I designed on my gypsy using the Pack Your Bags cricut cartridge
I had this really cool water image paper that was so perfect for this "water card" and I used black glitter paper for the inter tube, then various cardstock for the other images.
She looks like she is having a wonderful relaxing day doesn't she?
I use three tiny flat Prima flowers to make the flower for her swimming cap.

I used two stamp sets for this card, the Tiny Tags 2 for the "U R Fabulous" and the flourish image, as well as the Birthday Wises  for the inside stamp "Have a Fabulous Birthday!"
Both of these great stamp sets can be purchased at My Craft Spot -HERE

Remember to head over to My Craft Spot to see more of the design teams "Splishy Splashy Summer" projects, and join us for this weeks challenge to include "water -paper of course" on your project.-HERE.
Thanks for visiting my blog... comments are always welcomed and so appreciated :)

For Time and All Eternity -My Craft Spot Project

Someday in my future my beautiful daughters will get the opportunity go be married... no, there are not any plans yet... but a mom can think ahead right?
This weeks challenge at My Craft Spot is:
 Invitations and Announcements
(parties, weddings, new baby etc.)
I love Kimberly's "Happily Ever After" stamp set, the fonts are so beautiful and the sentiments are just perfect for wedding announcements or congratulations cards or gifts.
I made a "Save the Date" announcement, this would be a hand deliver card idea because of the flowers, but is is nice to make such a card for special close friends and family members, and this card was quite easy to put together, a plus when you are making several.
This card measures 10 3/4" x 5", it's been scored at 2 1/2" and 6 3/4". I've used the EK Success Border Punch Swirl for the design on one side of the folded edge, then layered a piece of Stampin Up! Bordering Blue (retired color) cardstock behind the punched image.
The flowers and leaves are from I am Roses, I used a red rose and two white cherry blossoms, I love these mulberry flowers and they are quite inexpensive with reasonable shipping costs too.
I made a removable belly band to place over the card to keep it closed, added the tag with a white organza ribbon bow and hot glued the flowers to the bow. Added a large heart eyelet to the tag for a bit more color.
Using my Sweetheart cricut cartridge I cut out the cute couple on page 46 at 4",  glued them the the center of the card, then printed on a piece of velum the save the date info... just planning ahead :)
Added two red heart eyelet to the vellum and a white ribbon knot, then attached the back of the ribbon the the card, so the vellum could be lifted up to see the sweet couple.
Close up of the belly band and tag

My Craft Spot will have more great announcement and invitation ideas made by the design team, so head over and be inspired -HERE, and join us for this weeks challenge... Kimberly always has great prizes every week.
