3D -My Craft Spot Challenge

Hello crafters,
Welcome to another Monday Challenge post for My Craft Spot, this weeks challenge...
3D
I've had this hat SVG file on my computer for a long time, and just came accross it a few days ago and decide it was time to make it, I love how it turned out!
I used Gingerbread crinkle ribbon, Tiny Tags stamp set along with the coordinating Tiny Tags metal dies and Ivory Jute Twine all available from My Craft Spot in the Shop -HERE.
I added two layers of crinkle ribbon to the hat one above the other, so the ribbon has the illusion of being a wide ribbon, the lace ribbon is place where the two layers of crinkle ribbon met. I then tied a triple bow and glued on the hat.
The flowers are from I am Roses and Wild Orchid Crafts, I just used a combination of the two. When I use these flowers I always use hot glue to adhere them. The pin is from a stick pin swap, I've had it in my stash for a while.
The sentiment is from the Tiny Tags stamp set the cardstock was cut using the Tiny Tags metal dies, then I added Ivory Jute Twine. The tag is just hot glued on to the bow.
Join us for this weeks 3D challenge at My Craft Spot and take a look at the other fabulous projects creative the the amazing design team -HERE.
Have a great day!

I wanted to share a quick bridal shower gift that I put together on the run... nothing too fancy, a set of bath towels. I rolled each individual towel up and tied it all together with a large gold bow.
The note card is 3"x 3" I used Navy crinkle ribbon along with the Stampin' Around Summer stamp set and coordinating Tiny Doilies metal dies. On the inside of the card I added a tiny heart from the Small Alphabet metal dies, all available in the My Craft Spot Shop -HERE

Cool Treats -Fantabulous Cricut Challenge

Hi Everyone, thanks for joining me for my Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog project today.
This weeks challenge
"Cool Treats"
Create a project with any type of a cool treat

A yummy cool treat that I think about during the Summer is Watermelon, especially after it has been sitting in a cold stream, that's the best way to store a watermelon when camping.
Our fantabulous sponsor at FCCB this week is CRI-Kits, if you have a cricut machine this company carries some must have tools!  Gel pens, embossing stylus and markers, yes to use with your Cricut machine.  If you haven't tried these yet they are amazing, the magnetic pen holder is brilliant, I love how the pens connect securely inside the holder, and are super easy to remove.
CRI-Kits has very generously supplied a few of the FCCB design team members with their products, thank you so much CRI-Kits!

I got to play with the "Glitter" pens, you can see the shimmer and shine in the close up photo of the word Summer below.... Love it!
This word is from the Stretch Your Imagination Cricut cartridge, as you're flipping through the handbook this image is almost missed... at least it was for me, it's on pg 32.
I used the Cricut Craft Room so I could line up the word "Summer" with the "shadow" image. Then just took a yellow copic marker and carefully colored the inside.
I sponged a hint of pink ink around the edges of the phrase.
I used foam tape to pop us the word and the watermelon. The crinkle ribbon is Sunshine Yellow, available at My Craft Spot -HERE.
Inside view of card, Just used left over scraps.

On the CRI-Kits website you will find some great project ideas and educational videos on how to use these pens -HERE.The embossing stylus is definitely on my wish list, which items are on  your list?
Now head over to Fantabulous Cricut to join us for this weeks challenge and to check out the other "cool treats" projects made by the Fantabulous design team -HERE.

Clean and Simple -My Craft Spot Challenge

Hey everyone, I'm so glad you joined me today.
Each monday brings two great challenges that I love... one from My Craft Spot and from Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog to see my post for the FCCB challenge please click -HERE.

My card below is for this weeks My Craft Spot challenge
Clean and Simple
I have a little secret... I can spend several hours creating one card, I know that sounds crazy... and it's so relaxing for me, but this card.... super quick and you may think wow... how did you do that.... I'll have a video this week sharing how I made this card from start to finish.
View video -HERE
I used the Tiny Tags 2 stamp set along with the 4" Doily, Tiny Doilies and Small Alphabet metal dies, all available from the My Craft Spot store -HERE.
Close up of the embossed 4" doily die... yes you can emboss with all your metal dies, the hole was cut using one of the dies from Tiny Doilies metal dies. I can't wait to show you how (video in the works).
The sentiment is from the Tiny Tags 2 stamp set, then I just added a bit of bling with a few rhinestones.
The three tiny flowers are from the Small Alphabet metal die.  I love the look of this clean and simple card.
Remember to head over to My Craft Spot to see the other Clean and Simple cards made by the design team and join us for this weeks challenge -HERE.

Make A Splash -Fantabulous Cricut Challenge

Hello everyone, I'm so glad you joined me today.
Each monday brings two great challenges, one from Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog and My Craft Spot to see my post for the My Craft Spot challenge please click -HERE.

Today's challenge for Fantabulous Cricut is...
Make a Splash
Create a project with a water theme (pool, beach, water park etc.)

I used Life's a Beach Cricut cartidge along with Sammy the Seal he's a digi image, more details about him below.
Our sponsor at FCCB this week is The Paper Nest

They have generously given the design team members a few of their adorable digital images to create with.  I'm using Circus Seal Sammy, he can be found -HERE. Sammy is super cute and just had to go to the beach to play today!

It's been a while since I've picked up my copic markers, oh and it felt so good to color again. The colors I used are C1, C3 & C5 for the seal, the ball and fluffy collar... yellows, Y00, Y13 & Y18, reds R22, R24 & R29.
I still feel like an amateur and continue learning different copic coloring techniques.
For my scene at the beach I used the Life's a Beach cricut cartridge, the waves are on page 77 of the handbook and were cut at 1 1/2", the beach chair on pg. 81 cut at 2 1/4" and the seagulls on pg. 79 cut at 1 1/2".
My life preserve is cut from the Tiny Doilies metal dies I stamped the words using the Stampin' Around Summer stamp set, the twine is Cherry Red.  All these items can be purchased from My Craft Spot store -HERE
I added a bit of inking on the beach chair using Tim Holtz Vintage Photo, the edge of the card is inked using Tea Die ink. Then just added a few black dots on the sand.
 Inside of my card
Now head over to FCCB and take a look at the inspiring projects made by the FCCB design team -HERE and join us for this weeks challenge Make a Splash.
