My first "Bitten by the bug" Contest

Ok I'll admit it... I've been "Bitten by the bug" .....the Cuttlebug.

I came across "Bitten by the Bug" website the other day such talented designers and wonderful ideas. Every Monday a contest is held so today I decided to join in on the fun.
This is the contest rules for this week...
MAKE A BIRTHDAY CARD with RED and GREEN as the primary colors of the card....
YOU NEED TO USE AT least one cricut cut from ANY of the cartridges of your choice.

When I went to submit my project I realized that I got carried away with creating, because I made a 3-D project instead of a card.... so I made a matching card and submitted it to the contest. Silly me!
Red & Green B-day card

my oops... Red & Green B-day gift
I had another Provo Craft band-aid tin laying around for this cute project, for all the paper and ribbon I used Stampin' Up! I used to be a SU! demonstrator for 10 years, so I have lots of paper and supplies.

When I create 3-D projects my favorite adhesive is Sticky Tape I buy it here Jody is so wonderful. I use this tape because when putting boxes or other 3-D projects together the tape sticks and keeps my paper where I put it, when I've tried other tapes or glue the box comes undone. Has this ever happened to you?

A Child's Year Cricut cartridge was used to make the cute little girls from pages 35 and60 in the handbook. The oval and tags were cut from George and Basic Shapes page 114 for the oval and pg 102 for the tag.
The writing on the tag was done with my printer, I have a tutorial of how to add text to a cutout here.
I used sticky tape again for adhering the ribbon around the rim and handle (I used about 1" strips at a time around the handle because you have to loop it through several times). Once the sticky tape was on the tin I added the ribbon.

Pattered paper size 1"x3" are wrapped around the chocolate nuggets. I fit a dozen nuggets into the tin.
Have a wonderfully creative day!
Robin :)
