Today the inspiration continues with more ideas from Kimberly and the design team using the new stamp sets and each design team member will have a stamp set or metal die set to give away as well... so exciting huh!!!  If you've just hopped here from my talented friend Gwen's Blog -This and That by Gwen then you are in just the right place for the blog hop, if you would like to start at the beginning of the hop start  then please go to My Craft Spot -HERE.

Blog Hop Order:

Robin (you are here)

I'm thrilled to share my "blog hop" project with you and I couldn't resist grabbing my Small Alphabet Metal Die to create my card these dies are so fun, I love the shapes in this die set too.
I started with this great patterned paper from October Afternoon Travel Girl it's an 8"x 8" pad, I love the pattern papers in this collection, so the first thing that came to my mind when I saw this sheet of paper that I used on my card was my daughters friend... she loves Paris, and hopes to go their someday.
So my card is dedicated to all you Paris lovers.
The Eiffel Tower is cut out in grey textured cardstock using my Silihouette Cameo, the image can be found -HERE.  I sponged the edges using a dark grey ink, then again gently sponged the edges and top with a bit of white ink, the textured cardstock really gives the tower a weathered look.
I wanted the tower to pop off the card, so I used a double layer of black craft foam (fun foam) to pop it up.
What is so fun about metal dies is you can cut other mediums besides paper easily, I used the dies to cut my letters and hearts out of craft foam... Love It!

Craft foam is such a solid color, and sometimes bright, so I decided to tone down the color a bit using my Tim Holtz Tea Dye ink pad.
Below is a photo of the alphabet letters cut out of craft foam un-inked. I then took my sponge tool and added ink to the top of the foam.
The photo below shows the added ink, this just gives it more of a distressed look so the foam is not so solid looking... if that makes since.
I used two types of foam and both die cut very well. The pink is just plain craft foam, the blue is sticker back. The sticker back is my favorite for using with the small letters, it makes it much easier to add to you cards.
Close up of the hearts.

The lace ribbon is from Stampin' Up, kind of gave it a frilly-vintage feel.
Added a bit of the pattern paper to the inside of the card too.
I hope you enjoyed my Paris tour of my card :)

    1. My favorite is very hard to choose. I love the doily die I can see how that could accent so many things. Then the small pendants well I think I would use that a lot and then of course you would need the stamp set to stamp on them. But possibly my favorite is stamping around summer they are all super cute and so easily incorporated!.
