Congrats Graduate

Our family has had few busy weeks with many events and celebrations one of which was my baby girl graduated valedictorian Woo Hoo!  I'm so proud of her and her accomplishments.  We had wonderful family and friends travel for the occasion to congratulate her, and of course we shared good food and fun together.

I made a few graduation cards and treats for some close graduate friends.
For the graduation hat I used and image from Miss Kate Cuttables "Graduation Day" and cut it using my Silhouette Cameo machine.
I added an action wobble behind the hat to create a fun wobble affect, it's so fun to see all the graduates hats flying up in the air after graduation.

I used three metal die sets from My Craft Spot on my cards... the Congrats is from Big Words metal die, I cut it twice in black and orange then layered the orange over the black to give a shadow look.  The personalized name letters are from the Small Alphabet metal die, the torn notebook paper edge is from the Fancy Edges metal die. These metal dies are available from My Craft Spot Shop -HERE.
Inside of card, again the same Fancy Edges metal die for the torn notebook edge, I also distressed the edges of the paper as well.
Close up of the Congrats die cut image.
For the yummy chocolate treats I used sticker address labels (30 per sheet) along with my photoshop program and designed labels that fit perfectly over the Hershey's Nuggets.  I used the same graduation images from Miss Kate Cuttables for the labels.
Our delicious food, my daughters did a great job cutting up fruits and veggies and beautifully decorating the trays... everything was... mmmmm so good!
What an amazing day we had, I hope you get a chance to hug a graduate! :)

Happy Mother's Day!

Hello, I wanted to wish you a happy mothers day!

I made a few cards to send to my wonderful mom and wonderful mother -in-law to let them know how much I love them and appreciate all they have done for me.
Inspiration for this card comes from  Jackie's blog "the Scalloped Edge" -HERE.
The flowers are cut from metal die from My Favorite Things Die-namic Lily
I use the Birds & Swirls Cuttlebug folder for the embossed background
Sentiment is from the Happy Easter stamp set from My Craft Spot
The flag banner is the Die-namics Fishtail Flags Stax
Close up of flowers, I used my Copic markers to add a bit of color on the inside edges.
Enjoy your day!

Mini Release -Birthday Fun

Hi, I'm so glad you joined me for day 2 of the "mini release" for My Craft Spot.  Today I'm featuring the Washi Tape metal die set.
This is a great die set that you can grab a few of your scraps and mix and match, a fun super easy card that you can make in minutes.
This sentiment is from Chalkboard Sentiments, I stamped in black then added a pearl embossing powder over the top (it looks more like clear, but I liked the look). I also added some fun Sequins from the My Craft Spot Shop, pumpkin and totally green.
Kimberly has a video featuring the new Washi Tape metal die set -HERE.
If you missed my project using the Rolled Flowers yesterday go check it out -HERE.

My Craft Spot is having an awesome give a way today for a $15 gift certificate... go check it out -HERE.  Thanks so much for visiting today!

Mini Release -You are Simply Amazing

Hello everyone, welcome to the first "mini release" for My Craft Spot!  You are in for a real treat with the two new dies that will be showcased for today and tomorrow, the design team has created amazing projects.
The two new dies are Rolled Flowers set of 2 and Washi Tape set of 3, Kimberly has given me the chance to design both these die sets... thanks so much Kimberly.
Today I'm showing off the Rolled Flowers, these metal dies cut through felt so easily and I love the crisp edges.  I used both sized of rolled flowers for my card, after rolling the flowers I prefer using hot glue to hold it all together and attach it to my card.  I hand cut the leaves, and added a Pink Twine bow.
I cut the flag from the Ribbon Banners Straight die, and stamped the phrase from the Banner Sentiments stamp set. I used the Once Upon a Princess Cuttlebug embossing folder for the embossed background.
Kimberly has made a video showing how to use the rolled flowers metal dies -HERE.
Tomorrow I'll have a project using the Washi Tape metal die set.
Remember to head over to My Craft Spot for today's give away, both metal dies are available for purchase today at the My Craft Spot Shop -HERE.   Thanks for visiting.
