Hello everyone, it's time to get started for our FCCB Vinyl EDU Cricut Crawl  (Fantabulous Cricut's version of a Blog Hop)!!
This week we are challenging you to create a project using vinyl you have cut using your Cricut machine.

Our Cricut Crawl begins here at my blog Robin's Creative Cottage I'm so glad you've joined us today.
There will be Blog Candy along the way at our DT members' blogs, as well as a Grand Prize at FCCB for one participant who submits a project using vinyl at FCCB!

If you've never used vinyl it is very easy to use with your cricut machine, cuts smoothy and can cut very intricate shapes easily. I cut using settings all set on 3, blade, pressure and speed.
We have a fabulous sponsor this week at FCCB, Cricket Vinyl Supplies
They have generously donated vinyl to FCCB design team members, you will love this quality vinyl... thank you Cricket Vinyl Supplies!
If we get 100 participants in this challenge, Cricket Vinyl Supplies will give away a Cricut Expression package that includes a Cricut Expression machine.

Included: Cricut Expression machine, deep cut blade, Jasmine Cricut cartridge, ten 12” x 12” assorted sheets of matte vinyl and one 12” x 12” gridded transfer tape. How exciting is that??

Day 4 Stamp Release Party! Rattle Dem Bones Coffin

Here we are at day 4 of the Stamp Release Party for My Craft Spot, and I'm having so much fun with these Halloween projects! Today we are sharing a sneak peek of the "Ghostly Greetings" stamp set, you will have so much fun creating Halloween cards and project using this set.

For my project I loved the phrase "Rattle dem bones" and when I saw it I had a creative idea in mind of a project that I wanted to make... I made a scary coffin, of course.
The coffin is cut from the Happy Hauntings cricut cartridge pg. 72, I used black Bazzill textured paper, then gently rubbed just the edge of a white ink pad over the paper before putting the coffin box together.
After I stamped the phrase, I wrinkled and tore the paper the inked the edges with a black ink pad.
I used tiny Prima Roses to make a bouquet and added leaves that I gently rubbed black ink on, I also added some thin twine that unraveled.
I used the Deep Plum crinkle ribbon (purchased from My Craft Spot) and tore and shredded it to give it a worn our look.
My little stack of bones were cut from the skeleton on the Happy Hauntings cricut cartridge pg. 29. I only used three bones and cut each three times and glued them together to make them thicker, then gently sponged black ink on the edges and wrapped all three bones using the twine.
The bats are from the Paper Doll Dress Up cricut cartridge pg. 53. I omitted the face and lines on the wings using my gypsy machine, then just added dots for the eyes using my white gel pen. I also gently rubbed the edges of the bats with a white ink pad.
Below is the inside of the coffin, I never go over board with the "scary" side of Halloween, so I made it cute and fun. This skeleton is from Paper Doll Dress Up cricut cartridge pg. 53.
I used my black mini gel pen in my cricut machine to trace the skeleton, then cut out the image using the machine as well. I put the skeleton on a homemade wobble spring so he wiggles a bit.
The Happy Halloween! phrase is from the same "Ghostly Greetings" stamp set.
Close up of the skeleton.

Day 2 Stamp Release Party! Halloween Frame

Hi everyone, welcome to day 2 of the Stamp Release Party for My Craft Spot
Today Kimberly and the design team are giving a sneak peek of the new stamp set "Spooky Treats". Kimberly did a great job designing this stamp set, I love the font she used to for her phrases, it's so spooky.

Today I'm sharing a Halloween frame that I cut from the Happy Hauntings cricut cartridge, the background frame was originally square, but I stretched it a bit using my gypsy so it was a rectangle shape.
I heat embossed the phrase for the center of my frame.
I used crystal effects on the crow and the two bats, and while it was still wet I added tiny red rhinestones for their eyes.
The crinkle ribbon is deep purple, and available at My Craft Spot.
Side view of the frame.

Thanks for stopping by today, and remember to head over to My Craft Spot to see the many other amazing projects made by Kimberly and her design team using the brand new Spooky Treats stamp set, also remember to leave a comment on Kimberly's blog (My Craft Spot) today for your chance to win the Traditional Bakers Twine, click -HERE for My Craft Spot.

Spooky -Fantabulous Cricut Challenge

A frightful challenge is happening over at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog

This weeks Challenge #83
Spooky Time
create a project with a ghost on it

My project is a "Spooky" shape card.
I designed this card using my gypsy, and love how it turned out.
Here are all the spooky details:

**Happy Hauntings Cricut cartridge
Black cardstock for the base of the card
Glitter cardstock from Michaels individual sheets
(love this glitter cardstock -it cuts so nicely on my cricut machine)

**Base card: pg. 35 (shift -phrase image) I stretched the image cut at, 3.95" tall x 6" wide. I welded two images together for the base of the card, then cut 1 single image on the same black card stock. The black glitter cardstock cut the phrase "spooky". Then using same "spooky" phrase omitted everything except the letters "spooky" and cut that in green glitter cardstock.

**Pumpkin: pg. 59, cut at 1.5"

**3 bats: pg. 48, cut at 1.5", 1.25" and 1"

**Tiny ghost: pg. 37, cut at 1" -drew on the face using a fine sharpie pen

To put the layers together I used black craft foam to give it a "spooky" 3-D effect.
Thank you so much for visiting
Head over there now to FCCB... but don't get scared... OK really many of the projects are really cute -HERE.

I'm entering this card over at "My Sheri Crafts" Pumpkin challenge

Booooooooooooooooooooooooo
Happy Halloween
