Cool Treats -Fantabulous Cricut Challenge

Hi Everyone, thanks for joining me for my Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog project today.
This weeks challenge
"Cool Treats"
Create a project with any type of a cool treat

A yummy cool treat that I think about during the Summer is Watermelon, especially after it has been sitting in a cold stream, that's the best way to store a watermelon when camping.
Our fantabulous sponsor at FCCB this week is CRI-Kits, if you have a cricut machine this company carries some must have tools!  Gel pens, embossing stylus and markers, yes to use with your Cricut machine.  If you haven't tried these yet they are amazing, the magnetic pen holder is brilliant, I love how the pens connect securely inside the holder, and are super easy to remove.
CRI-Kits has very generously supplied a few of the FCCB design team members with their products, thank you so much CRI-Kits!

I got to play with the "Glitter" pens, you can see the shimmer and shine in the close up photo of the word Summer below.... Love it!
This word is from the Stretch Your Imagination Cricut cartridge, as you're flipping through the handbook this image is almost missed... at least it was for me, it's on pg 32.
I used the Cricut Craft Room so I could line up the word "Summer" with the "shadow" image. Then just took a yellow copic marker and carefully colored the inside.
I sponged a hint of pink ink around the edges of the phrase.
I used foam tape to pop us the word and the watermelon. The crinkle ribbon is Sunshine Yellow, available at My Craft Spot -HERE.
Inside view of card, Just used left over scraps.

On the CRI-Kits website you will find some great project ideas and educational videos on how to use these pens -HERE.The embossing stylus is definitely on my wish list, which items are on  your list?
Now head over to Fantabulous Cricut to join us for this weeks challenge and to check out the other "cool treats" projects made by the Fantabulous design team -HERE.

Watermelon Thanks

Hello everyone, and I'm so glad to share another project with you and this card is being featured over at My Craft Spot.  I just love watermelon in the summer so I made a yummy simple watermelon card just to make your mouth water :)
I've cut the watermelon and the frame using the Stretch Your Imagination cricut cartridge. The watermelon was cut at 4 1/4" the frame was cut at 5" using the Real Dial size. Then added black stitching using my sewing machine.
I've used three different colors of bakers twine, Buttercream, Blossom and Honeydew. I used two stamps from Kimberly's new "Thank You" stamp set, the set includes so many wonderful sentiments and fonts. Both the bakers twine and stamp set can be found -HERE At My Craft Spot.

Thanks for stopping by today, have a great day!

Thanks Dad

It's time for "Challenge Me" Monday at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog.

Challenge #14 Celebrate Dear Dad:
Create a masculine project for a dear dad.

I have a cut file for this card you'll find it at the end of this post, nothing fancy about the file, I just found it very easy to create using Design Studio, instead of figuring out the measurements that I needed.

Below is a photo of all the pieces that I cut for this card.

The inside of the card, I like the look and it's a great space for writing a message too.Come see what the design team has created for the "Celebrate Dear Dad" challenge -HERE.

If you download this cut file please leave a comment here on this post. Thank you
You can find the cut file -HERE

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #4

Today is a new challenge at Fantabulous Cricut

Challenge #4 -Include a word and shape on your project:
the word is "Happy"
the shape is a "Flower"

Stretch your Imagination Cricut cartridge has a great card feature. The card I used was from page 75, cut at 4" to make a 4"x 4" square card.
Using my computer I printed the "you make me smile..."
The word "happy" was from Walk in my Garden cartridge page 122 I used the main happy word and the shadow feature cut at 1"
The cardstock is from DCWV Blossoms & Butterflies Stack, I love cutting that paper with my cricut, it cuts so nicely.

I cut a 3 3/4" square piece of cardstock using my paper trimmer to place on the inside of the card as shown in the photo below, this gave a nice background to the flower window that was cut.

At Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog we have an amazing design team that has created projects for this weeks challenge that will give you inspiration in using your cricut machine. Come on over and visit and join us for this weeks challenge.

Just Buggin' Challenge 14

Just Buggin' Challenge #14 is here -Layers

The challenge is to use at least two die cuts and layer them together. (for instance, cut out flowers in two different sizes and layer them on top of each other, two snowflakes, etc)

I have so much fun creating this card, then after I made it I referred to the challenge... does this cake and the cake shadow count as two die cuts? hmmm... well this was just fun!

Layers
Cricit cartridge used: Stretch Your Imagination page 61
I cut each color of cardstock several times then layered them on top of each other making a very thick cake, even the candles are layered.
The card is cut 8 1/4" x 9 1/4" then folded in half the long way. This card fits in a legal size envelope.

Just Buggin' has weekly challenges to inspire us to use our Cricut machines, come join the fun!

Have a wonderfully creative day!
Robin :)
