Make A Splash -Fantabulous Cricut Challenge

Today's challenge for Fantabulous Cricut is...

Make a Splash

Create a project with a water theme (pool, beach, water park etc.)

I used Life's a Beach Cricut cartidge along with Sammy the Seal he's a digi image, more details about him below.

It's been a while since I've picked up my copic markers, oh and it felt so good to color again. The colors I used are C1, C3 & C5 for the seal, the ball and fluffy collar... yellows, Y00, Y13 & Y18, reds R22, R24 & R29.

I still feel like an amateur and continue learning different copic coloring techniques.

For my scene at the beach I used the Life's a Beach cricut cartridge, the waves are on page 77 of the handbook and were cut at 1 1/2", the beach chair on pg. 81 cut at 2 1/4" and the seagulls on pg. 79 cut at 1 1/2".

 My life preserve is cut from the Tiny Doilies metal dies I stamped the words using the Stampin' Around Summer stamp set, the twine is Cherry Red.  All these items can be purchased from My Craft Spot store -HERE. 

I added a bit of inking on the beach chair using Tim Holtz Vintage Photo, the edge of the card is inked using Tea Die ink. Then just added a few black dots on the sand.

Thinking of You Island of Palm Trees Card

Hello everyone,

Today I got to post a design team feature post over at My Craft Spot, this is my "Thinking of you" Island of palm trees card.

I used Kimberly's Inside & Out -Set #2 stamp set for the sentiments on the outside and the inside of the card. This is a great versatile stamp set for many occasions and if you like to add words to the inside of the card as well as the outside it's perfect! You can find the stamp set -HERE

Below is a video of how I made this card...

I used the cricut cartridge Life Is a Beach for the images, the cloud image is from the Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge. I added inking to all the edges with the Tim Holtz Vintage Photo or Tea Dye ink pads, and for the clouds I used Jenny Bowlin Soap Powder ink.

I adding a hint of stitching using my sewing machine on the "thinking of you" tab and the waves.

Miss You -Hula Island

This cute little penguin digital stamp image is called "Hula Island" from Designed 2 Delight.
The jumping fish are fro the Life's a Beach cricut cartridge on page 50 of the handbook.

Flip Flops Summer Beach Card

I hope you are having fun in the sun... at Fantabulous Cricut it's time for "Challenge Me Monday"

Challenge #15

Summer Time at the Beach:

Create a project for summer using something you would find at the beach.

I would find flip flops, sunshine, and waves at the beach... a place to "Escape"
I used my new "Life is a Beach" cricut cartridge. The flip flops are on page 64 of the handbook and were cut at 3 3/4", the wave is on page 45 I used the border feature cut at 1 1/2", the escape word is on page 38 I used the Title Words feature cutting it out twice, then used scissors to cut off the leaf.

The hanging charms are a fun feature on the cartridge, I cut the charms at 1 1/4" the sun is on page 44, flip flops page 64, the wave on page 45. Then on page 70 is the solid background charm using the shift key, I placed behind each charm.
