Fun in the Sun -Challenge #17 at Meljen's

Thursday's are a great day for a new challenge along with new images at Meljen's. Melissa has created 5 new images that are so fun for summer days.

The challenge is to create an "easel card," this is my first time creating this fun card design, I got instructions for my easel card at Splitcoast Stampers -HERE.
I used the new "Brook at the Beach" digital stamp, I love this adorable care free image.

I used my copic markers to color the image, and George and Basic Shapes cricut cartridge to cut out the oval shapes. Text is printed from my computer.

3 cute cards using Meljen's Digital Stamps

Remember Meljen's super cute images that I showed you last week? Well, I created two cards from that new release and one card using a previously released image.

For all these images I used the paper piecing technique, I printed the images on several pieces of colored and patterned paper, then cut out each item.

Meljen's Challenge #15 -Circles Galore

Hooray for Brand new images and a Challenge at Meljen's - this week the challenge is "Circles Galore". And if you add up all the polka-dots on my card then there are tons of circles!

I used two of Meljen's images for this card, the new "Candy Land Dreams" and the wonderful "sweet sentiment" (not a new image, but can be found at Whimsy Stamps) which I copied directly on my purple polka-dot paper.
I use the paper piecing technique for the "Candy Land Dreams" image, printing on four different polka-dot papers, then cutting out each image in a certain color. I wrapped clear cling wrap around three of the candies.

Look at the super cute new images Melissa has created, oh so yummy!!
All Meljen's Design Images can now be found at Whimsy Stamps -HERE

Come over to Meljen's blog and see what the Design Team have created using these brand new images, and how they included circles on their cards -HERE, you can also join us in this challenge.

Garden Bird House -Bookmark/Tag Challenge

A fantastic challenge at Meljen's today, create a Bookmark and/or Tag .

I used Melissa's digital stamp "Garden Bird House. This is such a cute stamp with two little lovebirds sitting on top of their home, little flowers with a vine climbing up the bird house, and do you see the little bug on the flower..... sweet.

I used my copic markers to color, then added stickles (glitter glue) using a toothpick to apply in a very thin layer.

Come join see the other Bookmarks and/or Tags at Meljens blog and prehaps you will join in on the challenge, it's a beautiful day!

Yummy Cupcake Mouse

Even mice deserve a yummy cupcake now and then. Woo Hoo, my first card for the Meljen's design team, I feel so lucky to be a part of Melissas team!

This is Meljen's design "cupcake mouse" digital stamp it's available in her store -Meljen's Designs. This mouse is so adorable enjoying his cupcake, it must be his birthday to get such a yummy treat.

The challenge this week was to incorporate some "sparkle, glitter, bling".
I added tiny turquoise rhinestones on the cupcake and in the center of the white flowers, bling!

I added a small strip of paper to the inside of the card to give it just a little bit of flair.
I used copic markers to color this image.... I'm still learning to use them.

Come view the challenge -HERE, and see the other wonderful creations from Meljen's design team!

Baby Giraffe -with Cardabilites Sketch

To be honest with you, I have never really been a "sketch" person, I would look at sketches and didn't quite get it..... until I tried it!! I tried out for the Cardabilities design team a few months back so I could completely challenge myself to use sketches, I was thrilled when I made the team and now I'm truly a firm believer that using "sketches" can make sooooo much simpler and take half the brain work of creating, but still so much fun!

Today is Sketch #3 over at Cardabilities, here is my card.
This digi stamp is from Meljen's Designs, I just love her artsy creations!
The word "Baby" is from the Storybook cricut cartridge, this font is so cute cut out small!!! The flowers are tiny prima flowers.

Here is the #3 sketch, give this sketch a try then come over to Carabilites blog and add your creation to Mr. Linky.
