Happy Anniversary Card Join our Challenge at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog

Hi, so glad you joined me on my card share today.
I am so excited to be back with Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog and joining the bi-monthly challenges.

This weeks challenge: Anniversary Theme

I am so blessed to have wonderful parents who lovingly cared for me and took me to church every Sunday, which definatly gave me a strong foundation in life.  And today, October 29, happens to be my Mom and Dads anniversary... yep today, so below is my card I mailed to them for their anniversary.

I designed this card in Cricut Design Space using the Sweetheart cartridge, the images I used are the heart and the word love.
I used American Crafts vanilla cardstock, Recollections gold cardstock and patterned paper from my stash.
I had fun adding layers to give stunning dimension, the heart and love word were cut out 4 times each with the vanilla cardstock then I glued one on top of the other.  I hand stamped Happy Anniversary using Lawn Fawn stamp set "Happy Happy Happy" in black ink.
I randomly added white sticky pearls from my stash of supplies.

Come over to Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog to check out the other wonderful anniversary projects from the design team -HERE.

And join the challenge.  Our sponsor for this challenge is from Dreaming Tree, they have amazing SVG files in their shop and several freebies ;)  go check them out.  The lucky winner of the Fantabulous Cricut challenge is a $10 gift certificate.

For Time and All Eternity -My Craft Spot Project

Someday in my future my beautiful daughters will get the opportunity go be married... no, there are not any plans yet... but a mom can think ahead right?
This weeks challenge at My Craft Spot is:
 Invitations and Announcements
(parties, weddings, new baby etc.)
I love Kimberly's "Happily Ever After" stamp set, the fonts are so beautiful and the sentiments are just perfect for wedding announcements or congratulations cards or gifts.
I made a "Save the Date" announcement, this would be a hand deliver card idea because of the flowers, but is is nice to make such a card for special close friends and family members, and this card was quite easy to put together, a plus when you are making several.
This card measures 10 3/4" x 5", it's been scored at 2 1/2" and 6 3/4". I've used the EK Success Border Punch Swirl for the design on one side of the folded edge, then layered a piece of Stampin Up! Bordering Blue (retired color) cardstock behind the punched image.
The flowers and leaves are from I am Roses, I used a red rose and two white cherry blossoms, I love these mulberry flowers and they are quite inexpensive with reasonable shipping costs too.
I made a removable belly band to place over the card to keep it closed, added the tag with a white organza ribbon bow and hot glued the flowers to the bow. Added a large heart eyelet to the tag for a bit more color.
Using my Sweetheart cricut cartridge I cut out the cute couple on page 46 at 4",  glued them the the center of the card, then printed on a piece of velum the save the date info... just planning ahead :)
Added two red heart eyelet to the vellum and a white ribbon knot, then attached the back of the ribbon the the card, so the vellum could be lifted up to see the sweet couple.

My Craft Spot will have more great announcement and invitation ideas made by the design team, so head over and be inspired -HERE, and join us for this weeks challenge... Kimberly always has great prizes every week.

A close up look at the pins and rose.

I made 5 tags with three pins each and will receive 5 different tags and pins back... I'm so excited to see what others make and get more creative ideas. I'll share them when I get my package in the mail.

So much fun!

**For my "Share the LOVE" project I cut out a clear box using the Once Upon a Princess cricut cartridge. I used my "Heart Blocks" cuttlebug embossing folder on the plastic... wow... the box turned out amazing! ---I'm defiantly going to do a video on this technique because if I tried to explain it, it may not be clear for you to follow... so watch my blog for the video to come soon.

For the hearts, the word "LOVE" and the key, I used the Sweethearts cricut cartridge, added just a hint of pink "bling" to the heart. The "LOVE" was cut in black then I added glitter for "sparkle".
I created this project on my gypsy so the following measurements are approximate...box was cut at 6" tall x 10 1/2" wide, heart 2 1/2 tall and the key 2" tall.
