Mother's Day Sewing Machine Card -Video

Mother's Day is almost here and I did get my Mother's day cards in the mail. I'm so excited to share with you the card that I created for my mother and my mother-in-love.... I don't have a mother "in-law" hee hee.

I remember a cute purple dress with white polka dots that my mom made for me when I was little she also made a matching dress for my doll... what a great mom!

I took sewing classes in JR High and loved it, I remember sewing little blankets and clothes for my dolls when I was little... and can't even count how many times I jammed up the sewing machine... and my mom never complained about.  I loved sewing and it's because of my mother that I do.

My mother-in-love is always working on a beautiful quilt for someone, she has made more quilts than I can count she loves making them for others. I love these women!

I wanted to share the mother's day card that I made for my mom.
This card fits in the legal size envelope, not your regular size card and I love it!!!
I used the Heritage cartridge, and the small flowers were from Walk in My garden cartridge.
The border punch is a Martha Stewart punch.

Thankful For You -Fantabulous Cricut Challenge

Today's project is a Fantabulous Cricut Challenge "Thankful For..." Create a thankful project.


I used the Heritage cartridge, the leave from page 24 & 25. I crumpled them a bit before adhering them. The frame was on page 31 and cut at 1". The sentiment was printed using my computer.

Bloom Where You're Planted -for Everyday Cricut

I am fortunate to be the wife of a career military man, and we have moved to 5 different Air Force bases in the US and around the world. I have enjoyed all the places that we've been, It's been a wonderful adventure, I have met so many wonderful people along the way, the military has been a blessing for our family. Even through all the ups and downs, I've always tried to live by a saying that I learned years ago in my youth...

"Bloom where you're planted"

We don't always get to choose our circumstances in life, but we do get to choose our attitude and do the best we can with what we have.

For Thursday's Everyday Cricut project, I have a "Home Decor" creation using a $3 picture fame, I turned it into a lovely wall hanging, using the words "Bloom where you're planted"

I'm Ms. June at Everyday Cricut!

I'm so excited to share that I'm Ms. June at Everyday Cricut this week... Woo Hoo!

Thank you, thank you, thank you to Melanie and Joy for giving me this awesome opportunity to share my creations with all of you , I'm so excited for what I have in store to share, did I tell you how excited I am.... yep, I did :)

This week I get to share projects for two great occasions, Father's Day, and Summer. I'm starting out the week with a simple card for "Dad"

Wild for Wild Flowers

It's time for another Cardabilities Sketch, I really enjoy Karan's sketches, she creates such fun designs to work with.
I used a flower pot from Pink Peticoat, I love her simply cute digital stamps.

Here is the sketch we got to work with...















I colored using Copic markers, and used Mini Monograms cricut cartridge for the scallops and circle, the flourish design is from the Heritage cartridge pg. 62. I made my own background paper starting with a white piece of cardstock, then used a black sharpie to draw thick lines, then added a hot pink marker to the white space. I like how it turned out an matched the "wild" flower pot.

I'm a Guest Designer today!!

So thrilled today for the opportunity to be the "Guest Designer" for Twisted Sketches! Twisted Card Sketch #008.

The card size measures 5 1/2" x 4 1/4".
I used the Heritage Cricut cartridge for the fence on pg. 21 cut at 2 2/3" the word Memories pg. 64 cut at 3/4".

Summer Time Treats Bear

New release day for Doodle Palace digital images, this week there are two new images, "Muddy Buddy" and "Summer Time Treats"

I used the sweet Summer Time Treats bear image, the bear was probably a "he", but just by adding a pink bow, I made her a "she" bear.

I used the "Heritage" cricut cartridge for the green flourish.

Bicycle Journey

I'm so excited to share my next "Cardabilities Sketch" #2.

My card is a 6" x 6", it was fun to do a square card, not my usual style but I really liked making it.
The pattern cardstock is from DCWV Pockets full of Posies Stack. I used my new "Heritage" Cricut cartridge to cut out the bike pg 63 at 2" and the word Journey pg. 71 at 1 1/4". The fun shape behind the bike is from Accent Essentials Cricut cartridge pg. 79 cut the shape twice 3" for the patterned cardstock and 3 1/2" for the dark purple cardstock.

Here is the sketch, I flipped this design upside down for my card.

For the word I cut it twice then carefully cut the green flourish off and added on top of the purple flourish.
