Snail Mail Card -My Craft Spot Project

Hi everyone I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving, I enjoyed spending the day with my family, having my daughter home from college was so wonderful!
Today I'm excited to share another challenge from My Craft Spot...
Showing Gratitude
(Thank you cards)

So I created a cute "snail mail" card, this cute snail is cut at 4" from the Birthday Bash cricut cartridge. The card measures 5 1/2" square.
My thanks tag was cut from the Tiny Tags metal dies and stamped using Kimberly's Tiny Tags stamp set, the twine is Caribbean. All available from My Craft Spot.
Inside of card
The sentiment that I stamped on the inside is from Kimberly's Thank You stamp set

There are more great thank you card ideas over at My Craft Spot, come on over and join us for this weeks challenge "Showing Gratitude" -HERE.

She said:  Oh Robin, you always create such wonderful projects! You always showcase Kimberly's stamps so beautifully. This mitten is stunning and I had to giggle because I'm making mittens right now, too! Except little kid ones, not fancy like this. Every detail is gorgeous and I especially love the cluster of pretties and the felt snowflake. Such a clever placement of the banner, too. My favorite of this spectacular release is Joy to the World, due to its heartwarming sentiments about the true meaning of Christmas. :o)
Hugs and blessings!

 Congratulations Karen!!!!

My Craft Spot *Blog Hop*

Woo Hoo... today is the My Craft Spot Stamp Release Blog Hop. I know I've had a wonderful time sharing projects from all 5 new stamp sets and dies; Lacy Banner Metal Dies, Chunky Alphabet, Stampin' Around Christmas, Joy to the World, Think Snow and Mistletoe. All stamp sets and metal dies are available for purchase today at My Craft Spot.

Today the inspiration continues with more ideas from Kimberly and the design team using the new stamp sets and each design team member will have a stamp set to give away as well... so exciting huh!!!  If you've just hopped here from my talented friend Gwen's Blog -This and That by Gwen then you are in just the right place for the blog hop, if you would like to start at the beginning of the hop start  then please go to My Craft Spot -HERE.
Blog hop order:
Kimberly
Robin (you are here)

My project is a pocket mitten cut from Joys of the Season cricut cartridge pg. 51 cut at 5 /12" tall, I omitted the markings on the mitten using my gypsy, I just realized I should have used the "blackout" feature.... duh ;)
I didn't use my sewing machine to stitch two mittens together, this was done by hand (going around corners especially tight corners like the thumb is very difficult for me with my sewing machine), I poked holds using my poker tool then stitched using a needle and thread (doubled).
My tag is from the new Lacy Banner metal die I stamped using the new Think Snow stamp set and tucked it under the white felt that I used for the cuff.
The felt snowflake was cut using a cuttlebug die, then added a cherry blossom from I am Roses.
I made a bow using two different colors of crinkle ribbon from My Craft Spot then added a flower from I am Roses and placed a stick pin with a few beads behind the flower.
I'm so excited to give the metal die set that I designed away, Lacy Banner Metal Dies to one fantabulous winner, for your chance to win...

Day 5 -My Craft Spot Release Party

Hello all my friends, I hope you have followed along this week for the fabulous Stamp Release Party for My Craft Spot, I know the design team and I have really enjoyed sharing so many inspiring projects with you, and today day 5, the inspiration continues.
We are showing a sneak peek with you of the new Mistletoe stamp set a lovely stamp set that is wonderful for your Christmas cards and projects.

Today I've created a simple country Christmas card with a patchwork background, it was fun to make.
For the patchwork background, I choose 4 patterned paper designs and cut each into 1 1/4" squares. Then cut a piece of cardstock 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (that was my card front size). I added a small amount of adhesive to the back of each square then placed on the piece of cardstock, some of the squares were hanging over the edge, after all the squares were stuck gently on I just trimmed the edged that hung over.
Then using my sewing machine I stitched where each pattern paper meet, all the threads were taped on the back side. I attached the patchwork background to a folded 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" piece of cardstock.
I love this beautiful saying from the Miseltoe stamp set, I used a spellbinders lacy oval die for the background that I stamped on, and used a bit of Tim Holtz Antique Photo ink for the oval center before removing the die from my cut out.
My poinsettia was cut in various sizes using Joys of the Season cricut cartridge, I inked the edges then sprayed generously using Bronze Glimmer Mist, then glued tiny yellow beads to the center of the flower.
